A Lesson for Legislators

There is a political agenda associated with this website. Teachers have the opportunity to support legislators who support education. They also have the opportunity to run for public office and to receive campaign support and contributions through this site.

Senate Bill 6 (SB6) was a crock and an insult to Florida educators. A similar bill also passed in the House of Representatives. (See links to Senate and Representatives on left to see who voted for these bills and who opposed them.) These legislators need a wake up call! This wake up call should come in the next election.

Without input from teachers and administrators, SB6 was fatally flawed. A flawed assumption equated a wrong answer. Wrong answers do not receive votes from educators.

Legislators with the wrong answers voted "Yeah" for SB6 in the spring of 2010. They'll do it again if they have the chance. Let's drive them out of office by recruiting educators, their supporters, as candidates, campaigning for them, and voting them into office.
